The Plan

Austin Bachelorette Party Itinerary

Two day and three day plans, hour by hour, built the way weekends actually run instead of the way they look on a spreadsheet.

Build your own itinerary

Most bachelorette itineraries fail the same way: every block has a booking time. Flights slip, brunch runs long, and by Saturday evening the group is thirty minutes behind and stressed about a reservation. The plans below use one anchor per day, with deliberate empty space around it.

The three day weekend, hour by hour

Three days and two nights. The standard, and the one to copy.

Friday: arrive, do not schedule

TimeWhat
AfternoonArrivals, check into the house, pool or patio. Nothing booked, because everybody lands at a different time.
7:00 pmDinner near the house. Reserve this one, and reserve it by phone if the group is over eight.
9:30 pmRainey Street. Walkable, bungalow bars, no plan needed. First night should be easy.

Saturday: the anchor day

TimeWhat
10:00 amBrunch. If you want drag brunch, this is its slot, and it is the one thing to book earliest.
1:00 pmThe anchor. Lake Travis boat, a Hill Country wine tour, or a float depending on the group. Three to five hours. Book transport with it.
6:30 pmBack to the house. Everyone is sunburnt and needs an hour. Build the hour in.
8:00 pmThe nice dinner. This is the meal worth spending on.
10:30 pmLive music, or two stepping at a dance hall. The dance hall is the thing nobody plans and everybody talks about afterwards.

Sunday: the recovery day

TimeWhat
11:00 amBarton Springs or the pool. Slow.
12:30 pmA long patio brunch with no reservation time.
2:00 pmSouth Congress for an hour, then airport runs.

Nothing on Sunday has a booking time. That is not laziness, it is the part of the plan that makes the other two days survivable.

The two day version

One night, arriving Saturday morning and leaving Sunday afternoon. Cut the Friday block entirely, keep Saturday exactly as written, and keep Sunday. You lose a night, not an anchor. Do not try to fit two anchors into Saturday to compensate. That is how a two day weekend becomes a bad three day weekend.

If the group wants a quieter weekend

Swap the boat for a Hill Country wine tour, swap the dance hall for a rooftop cocktail bar, and put a spa afternoon where Sunday's brunch is. Same shape, different volume. The one anchor per day rule does not change.

What it costs

A standard three day weekend usually lands at 700 to 1,100 dollars per person covering lodging, one big activity, food and nightlife, not counting flights. A lean version runs 400 to 650. The house and the anchor activity are the two lines that move the total most, and both split better with a bigger group.

Frequently asked questions

What is a good two day Austin bachelorette itinerary?
Friday: arrive, pool or patio, dinner, then Rainey Street. Saturday: brunch, a Lake Travis boat afternoon, a nice dinner, then live music or two stepping. Sunday: Barton Springs, a long brunch, and the airport. One anchor per day and nothing else booked.

How many days should an Austin bachelorette weekend be?
Three days and two nights is the standard and it is the right answer for most groups. Two nights gives you one big daytime anchor and two very different nights without anybody burning out or the cost getting silly.

What should we do on the first night?
Something walkable and low commitment. People arrive at different times on different flights, so a booked activity on Friday night is a trap. Dinner near the house and a walkable bar street is the plan that survives a delayed flight.

When should the bachelorette activities be booked?
Boats and big dinners six to ten weeks out, brunch and spa four to six, bars the week of. Lodging six to twelve weeks. If the weekend overlaps a festival, book everything much earlier and expect to pay more for the house.

How much does a three day Austin bachelorette weekend cost?
Most groups land between 700 and 1,100 dollars per person for a standard weekend covering lodging, one big activity, food and nightlife, not counting flights. Lean weekends run 400 to 650.

What is the most common itinerary mistake?
Booking something with a start time on every single block. The weekend that works has one anchor per day and deliberate empty space around it. The second most common mistake is scheduling Sunday like it is Saturday.

Do we need a car or transport?
For the boat day and any wine tour, book a driver or a van. Downtown, Rainey Street and South Congress are walkable or a short rideshare. A group over twelve moving at the same time should book transport rather than trying to split across rideshares.
